Open a Vellis account online in three steps: complete the application form, confirm your business and personal identity, and receive your account number. The process is fully digital.

Standard applications are processed within 2–3 business days. A Fast Track option is available for an additional fee if you need to get started sooner.

Setup fees depend on your selected plan. We will share clear aAs a regulated Money Services Business, Vellis is required to meet Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (CFT) standards. This means we verify information on the entity, its owners, directors and authorised signatories.pricing before you commit.

For the company: Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum and Articles of Association, Register of Directors, Shares and Secretaries, and proof of address. For each UBO, director and authorised signatory: a valid passport or government-issued ID, and proof of address (recent bank statement or utility bill). Vellis reserves the right to request additional documentation. A full list is available at sign-up.

No. You are free to use your Vellis account in accordance with the Terms and Conditions, without minimum balance requirements.

To close your Vellis account, contact our support team directly. We will guide you through the process, ensure any pending transactions are settled, and confirm the closure in writing. There are no lock-in periods — you are free to close your account at any time in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.

It depends on the amount, timing and recipient. SEPA payments are best suited for transactions within the Eurozone. For cross-border payments, SWIFT is the most widely used method.

SEPA payments can be instant. Timing guidance is displayed when you create the payment in the Internet Bank.

SWIFT payments generally take 2–3 business days. As an international transfer, it is subject to AML and fraud checks. Local banking procedures at the beneficiary's end may also apply.

An internal transfer moves funds between two Vellis accounts. Same-currency transfers are instant. To create one, you will need the beneficiary's name and Vellis account number.

Spot FX trades are best suited for converting larger amounts between two currencies within your business. SWIFT payments are generally more appropriate for smaller amounts sent to external beneficiaries.

Trades are placed immediately during business hours. Settlement timing depends on the currencies involved. Guidance is shown when you create the trade.

The cost comprises the spread - the difference between the market rate and the Vellis rate - plus any applicable transaction fees. Pricing is transparent and confirmed at the point of trade, with no hidden charges.

Vellis specialises in e-commerce but also supports Pay by Link, Mail Order / Telephone Order (MOTO) and e-wallets payment solutions like Google Pay and Apple Pay - allowing you to accept payments through whichever channel suits your business.

Yes. Vellis can provide a customised hosted payment page, integrate with shopping carts, and support direct server-to-server integrations.

Settlement timelines vary based on your chargeback history and rolling reserve. Larger merchants may be settled within days; smaller merchants typically within weeks. Vellis can help you work towards faster settlement terms as your account matures.

Vellis partners with a fully PCI-certified payment gateway and will guide you through meeting the relevant compliance requirements for your business.

If you have lost your login credentials, you can reset them online subject to identity verification. If you suspect irregular activity or are experiencing a service issue, contact Support immediately.

Log in to the Internet Bank using the credentials provided during registration. Two-factor authentication is required at each login.

Vellis operates on transparent, fixed pricing. Fees vary depending on the services you use — account maintenance, payment processing, foreign exchange and international transfers each have their own fee structure. You will receive your pricing during onboarding, before you commit to anything.

Yes. Vellis approaches every migration with continuity as the priority. In most cases, we recommend running your Vellis setup in parallel with your existing provider during a transition period, so you can move across without any interruption to payment acceptance or cash flow. Our team will agree a migration plan with you before anything goes live.

For businesses with straightforward structures, payment processing can go live within a few days of account approval. More complex setups - including high-risk industries or multi-entity structures - may require additional review time. Vellis will confirm your timeline before you begin the process.

If your account is selected for review, Vellis will contact you directly, explain what is needed, and work with you to resolve it as efficiently as possible.
